What our shoe polishing includes
Standard polishing is part of every shoe cleaning we do — deep clean, condition, polish, finish. For shoes that are already clean and just need the finish brought back, standalone polishing is AED 55 per pair. Standalone is the right call when the leather is fine but the shine has gone flat.
The step most people skip and shouldn't is conditioning. Dubai's climate dries leather faster than most owners expect — a few months of heat, AC, and the occasional rain, and the surface oil that keeps leather flexible disappears. We replace it before polishing locks the surface back down, so the shoe stays supple instead of cracking at the flex point.

Same full service for premium dress leather — Hermès, Tod's, Berluti and similar. Colour-matched polish built in thinner layers, with before/after photos on shoes valued above AED 3,000.
Mirror shine add-on
The layered wax-and-water finish on toe caps and heel counters that catches reflections. Built up over multiple thin coats, so it adds about half a day. Mostly requested before weddings and formal occasions.

Polishing vs cleaning — what's the difference?
Cleaning removes dirt. Polishing restores finish. They're related and often done together, but they're not the same job. A clean handles whatever's on the surface — dust, stains, scuffs, salt marks from rain. A polish handles the leather itself: feeding it with wax or cream, restoring colour where it's faded, and bringing the surface back to an even finish.
The order matters. Clean first, condition second, polish third. Polishing over a dirty shoe locks grit under the finish, which is why scuffs you polished over at home stayed put. Our standard service does all three in sequence, so you don't have to think about it. And if the colour has faded unevenly or worn through to the leather underneath, that's a job for colour restoration rather than polishing — we'll tell you which one you actually need.

How much does shoe polishing cost in Dubai?
Standalone polishing for leather dress shoes is AED 55 per pair at ShoeCare. Polishing is also included as the finishing step in our standard cleaning service — AED 110 for formal shoes and AED 145 for designer formal. Mirror shine and conditioning add-ons are available, and pickup and delivery are free across Dubai.
How often should I polish leather shoes?
For leather dress shoes worn regularly, a polish every 4 to 6 weeks keeps the leather conditioned and the finish even. Daily-wear shoes benefit from a light buff between full polishes. Shoes worn occasionally still need attention every 2 to 3 months, because leather dries out faster in Dubai's climate than most owners expect.
Can you polish suede shoes?
Suede doesn't get polished in the traditional sense. We brush the nap, lift dirt with suede-specific cleaners, treat scuffs with an eraser block, and restore the colour where it's faded. Wax polish flattens the nap permanently and isn't reversible, so we avoid it.
Do you do mirror shine?
Yes. Mirror shine is a layered wax-and-water finish on the toe and heel cap of leather dress shoes. It takes longer than standard polishing because the wax builds over multiple thin coats, and it's worth it for formal occasions. Available as an add-on to any leather polish booking.
Do you pick up shoes for polishing only?
